A Day at the Museum

Hi friends!

As we all know, winter is near, which also means that winter recess is coming soon! One of my favorite things to do during winter recess is visit all of the wonderful museums in New York City! Did you know that there are close to 100 museums throughout the five boroughs?

A few weeks ago, I visited one of my favorite museums, the Staten Island Children’s Museum. We had a fun day of preparedness, where we learned fire safety from the FDNY, sustainability information from the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery and got our blood pressure taken from the Medical Reserve Corps.

We also learned about the great work done by the community members of Staten Island, such as the Staten Island Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (SIVOAD) and the Deputy Borough President!

I had a great time meeting you all, and thanks again to the Staten Island Children’s Museum!

Peace and Picasso,
