Last Sunday, I marched alongside NYC Emergency Management and the City’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers at the 2nd Annual Disability Pride Parade. This parade is hosted by Disability Pride NYC, which is an organization that promotes inclusion and visibility for people with disabilities.
After the parade, we set up a Ready New York table in Madison Square Park to share important emergency preparedness information. I signed some comic books, too!
I had a blast meeting all of those who attended. I also had so much fun marching alongside great organizations that work for or advocate on behalf of people with disabilities.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, and we hope to see you again next year!
Peace and pride,
P.S.- I’ll be out of the office for the next few weeks on another adventure- so stay tuned for some new updates soon!
